ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Janna – the heart and hands behind Mealspure.com. I’m 38 years old, currently living in Missouri, USA, where I share life with my wonderful husband and our two amazing children. Cooking has always been a part of who I am, and this blog is where I bring together my passion for healthy food, family tradition, and natural living.

I was born and raised in the countryside, a bit far from the city, which gave me a unique chance to grow up surrounded by nature and close to the land. With fewer conveniences and more reliance on what we could grow or make ourselves, I developed a deep appreciation for simple, honest ingredients and home-cooked meals made with care.

My love for cooking began in my childhood kitchen, where I learned side by side with my mother and grandmother. They taught me the power of food – not just to nourish, but to bring people together, to comfort, and to preserve culture. With them, I mastered traditional recipes that were rich in flavor yet naturally healthy, using what we had available.

After finishing high school, I pursued two years of formal studies in cooking to deepen my knowledge and refine my skills. That education helped me understand food from a professional perspective, but my foundation remains rooted in the soulful, hands-on learning I experienced growing up. I’ve always believed that the best meals are made with both technique and heart.

Over the years, I’ve continued to explore nutrition and wellness, adapting old recipes to be lighter and more balanced, without ever compromising taste. I truly believe that eating healthy shouldn’t feel like a restriction – it should be a celebration of natural flavors, vibrant ingredients, and mindful preparation.

Mealspure.com was born from that philosophy. It’s a space where I share healthy, gluten-free, home-style recipes inspired by the gluten-free lifestyle and traditions. Every recipe I post is created or adapted in my own kitchen, with a focus on purity, nourishment, and family-friendly simplicity.
